It is incredible notes like this that give even the most jaded collector a thrill. Could it be the original freshness, the bottom selvedge, the beautiful two-color pen signatures or all the above? Whatever appeals to you will likely stir the soul of the next buyer also, ensuring a ready market whenever this note is re-offered. There is a sheet fold across the top and a fold across the bottom left corner, but it is clear the note never circulated. This was the only bank in town and it issued no small size. The outstanding at the close was just $470. Had five uncut sheets not been found to skew the statistics, this would have been a much scarcer bank. But then we wouldn t have had this peach to sell. Expect some spirited bidding for this lot.
