S-1 'America' reverse. One of the Nation's earliest and coolest types is the Chain Cent of 1793, with a mintage of 36,103 or just about half of the Wreath Cent of the same year. This coin had a very high relief, most were easily worn, while this coin is a wonderful example with excellent color and surfaces. Sheldon 75. Lettered edge. A gorgeous coin that has exceptional chocolate brown color. As the story goes this coin went to England and then returned home. Consignor purchased on August 21, 1968 at ANA. Coin came out of England with Henry Heller when he was a Colonel in the Army. Cost $650.

On tip end surface there is a pin sticking up that would enter a hole in the other half of the mold to hold it in position, while at the base end there are two indentations to take the pins from the other half-mold. There are six cash in single row on either side of the main channel. Heavy patination. Coin size 2.5 cm diameter.
