The most obvious difference is the FIVE DOLLAR legend, with the bar of the E in FIVE missing and the detail of the four corners is very crudely done. Plate J, imprint: none. Some flaws.

Incorporated as a city in 1837, Chicago is noted for many firsts , among them the first comprehensive city sewer plan (1856) and the world s first steel-skeleton skyscraper (1885). Several square miles of the city were ravaged by fire in 1871, leading to a rebuild based in stone and steel rather than wood. Chicago was host to the World s Columbian Exposition in 1893, commonly held as the most influential World s Fair in history.
