NJ-158 30 Shillings December 31, 1763 Back Misalignment Error
Grade: PCGS Apparent Fine 12

A note that has a lot going for it. This is one of the much scarcer red and black high denomination notes from this otherwise common 1763 issue. PCGS has noted the center split repaired. The allure of this note is the the back is heavily misaligned to a degree that we have not seen. It is dramatically shifted down and to the right with a corresponding piece of the next note seen at the top. In decades of dealing in and observing currency, we can honestly say that this is a rare Colonial error type. Not noted as an error on the holder but we will let the bidders decide.
