Here is one of America's earliest banknotes, the New York Demand note with clear and hand-signed signatures of S.P. Hill - Treasurer of the United States and F.A. Reeve - Register of the Treasury and the "for the" is very clear. The census indicates 10 records including this note which is the earliest serial number listed. There are no sales or offerings since 2021 when a PCGS VF 25 realized $50,400. There have been three different examples offered in twelve years. This note has an excellent appearance and the normal circulation allows the quality to show through any comments. PMG notes minor restoration.
