This interest bearing note may be one of the rarest of all types of US issues. These notes were printed by the BEP and they bore a 5% interest payable on redemption so any that remain were not redeemed, so the rarity makes perfect sense. This note has had a small corner restoration on the upper right and a small ink spot on the back along with the initials "WBB" and a date that I am a bit unsure of. Could be something from the interest payment. 31 are reported and this note has a very desirable look. In 2024 two were sold. No doubt this this "middle of the book" note will be well received.
